The short version: Feedback is anonymous. We don't collect personal information from diners. Voice audio is transcribed and immediately discarded — we never store recordings. AI processes your text to generate action items, not to identify you. Venue owners only see the feedback, never who left it.

4. Voice input and audio data

We never record, store, or transmit your voice.

All feedback is submitted as typed text through your browser. No audio is recorded or stored.

What we receive is the text transcription only — the same text you would have typed. The audio itself is never stored, transmitted to our servers, or accessible to us in any form.

The speech recognition service is provided by your browser vendor (typically Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari). Their own privacy policies apply to the audio processing. We encourage you to review:

Feedback text sent to Anthropic's API is processed under Anthropic's Privacy Policy and data handling terms. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. No personally identifying information is included in API requests because we don't collect any.

Diner feedback is anonymous by design, not by policy. We cannot identify who left feedback because we do not collect any identifying information. There is no account, no login, and no tracking associated with feedback submissions.

If you choose to create a Scusi diner account (optional, for XP and discovery features), your account information is kept separate from your feedback submissions and is never shared with venue owners.

The New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to:

For diner feedback: because we do not collect personal information from diners, there is no personal information to access, correct, or delete. Your feedback is anonymous and cannot be linked to you.

For venue owners: you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information at any time by emailing hello@scusifeedback.com.

9. Information about businesses

Feedback collected through Scusi is information about a business's products and services (food quality, service speed, atmosphere), not personal information about individuals. Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020, information about businesses and their products is not "personal information" and is not subject to the same restrictions.

Venue consent is not required to collect customer opinions about the venue's food, service, or atmosphere. This is consistent with how Google Reviews, TripAdvisor, and other review platforms operate.

Scusi is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The feedback flow does not ask for age or any personal details.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change when we do. For significant changes, we will notify venue owners by email.
